Choosing a Hosting Package

The Value Hosting package is a good choice for companies that just need to host their website and nothing else.  The Value Hosting package includes Full Backups and the Standard Maintenance packages (detailed below).  With this package you will not have the ability to do anything other than access the front-end content editor for the website.  This is a hosting environment shared with other clients, so you will not be able to access the server Console or install any additional services.

If your company wants more control over their hosting environment, or is looking to do more than just hosting a website, the Standard Hosting package is a good starting package to choose.  The Standard or Enhanced Hosting packages can be upgraded to the next tier at any time, so if you outgrow your current resources you have that ability to upgrade to the next hosting tier. 

*With these hosting packages you get your own Virtual Private Server (VPS) and it is highly recommended that you add the Standard Maintenance option (detailed below) to your package to keep your server's Operating System and web application software up-to-date, and the Full Backups option (detailed below) to protect you from any problems where a server restore or rebuild would be necessary.

Virtual Private Server (VPS)

Having a VPS hosting environment allows your company to maintain full control over your website and any additional features you want to run.  All of our hosting packages starting with the Standard Hosting tier are VPS solutions.  Your server will be set up with a Linux operating system and you will have full root-level access to the server console.  Your company will have the ability to fully manage the server and website if your resources permit.  Each VPS will come with 1 static IPv4 address and a static IPv6 address.  The initial setup of the server will be billed at the standard hourly rate, and will be included with your web development quote.

Native IPv6 Support

Your server will automatically be natively connected to the IPv6 network, the next generation of the internet.

Standard Maintenance

While you and your company do have full administrator-level access to your server beginning at the Standard Hosting tier, if you do not have the resources inside your company to keep the system up-to-date we can take care of those tasks for you.  We will install any critical security updates for the server and for the web application each month.  This standard maintenance package covers preventative maintenance tasks only; any other types of maintenance or support you need will be billed at our standard hourly rate.

Full Backups

Your website and your entire server configuration will be backed up on a daily basis.  Should the unthinkable happen, you will be able to restore your entire server configuration from the previous day's backup.  Should you need our assistane with the restore process, our standard hourly rate would apply.

Domain Name Registration / Renewal

We can register and renew your domain name every year for you, if you need our help.  Domain names must be registered each year with the Internet Authority in order to maintain your ownership and use of the domain.

Website Encryption (SSL/TLS)

We can upgrade your website to use a secure TLS connection for all communications between your clients and the server.  We definitely recommend adding this service to your web hosting package for an added layer of security and trust for your clients.

Additional IPv4 Address

Your server comes with 1 static IPv4 address, which can host any number of websites under ordinary circumstances.  Should your company require an additional IPv4 address they can be purchased separately.

Additional Maintenance / Support

If you need our assistance with any aspects of your server that's not covered under the standard maintenance package, or if you did not purchase the standard maintenance package, we will be happy to assist you with any support or maintenance tasks with your server at our standard hourly rate.
